On SD 50103.12, the Manticore crew seem to jump 10-20 years forward in time. Jami Farrington is now the ship's Captain, Sovak is an Admiral based at Starfleet HQ and Atragon-9 has been dead for 3 years. Many of the officers who were lower ranks in their departments have become Lt. Commanders and department heads and all of the former department heads were no longer aboard. Jami received orders from Sovak, at SFHQ to assist a young race, the Mah, against an aggressive foe, the Gobu.

The Manticore arrived at Mah and was requested to provide a Planet Killer and the technology to deploy and detonate it, in order to turn the tide of the conflict. Many of the senior staff were at odds with this order and had a staff meeting, excluding the younger officers. The older officers started to feel very paranoid about their fellow officers and decided that the younger officers had developed a plot against their bosses. The decision was made to not turn over the technology and expertise to the Mah, but they agreed to go with the Mah and deploy the PK for them, if the situation warranted it.

Meanwhile, Atragon-9 and his department heads awake in an unknown medical facility. They escape and realize that they are in an underground complex on Mah. They were helped by the Mah peace underground and found their way to a massive holosuite where Jami and some of the junior officers were being led to believe that it was the future and they were in charge of the Manticore when, in fact, none of them were on the actual ship.

They made their way to the ground base below where Manticore was moored in orbit above. This led to the Sim-In-A-Box on SD 50105.07. Once back onboard the real Manticore, the group of senior officers staged some guerilla attacks on the Mah, after sending a distress call to Black Ops. The officers took over the Manticore just as four Black Ops ships showed up and knocked out Manticore's main power, propulsion, weapons, transport and sensor systems. The Mah were dealt with, by the Federation, while Manticore was towed back to Starbase 9.
